By The Numbers
Have they no shame?
General David Petraeus, head of the US military actions in Iraq is set to give his most recent report in the hallowed halls of the US Congress today; and those on the left who feel that they need US defeat in order for them to win are already attacking. Apparently these so called "leaders" who have no shame nor honor are attacking a highly decorated military man who is also a graduate of the US Army Academy, and probably is the very definition of honor.
Rahm Emanual (D-IL), head of the Democratic Caucus said this on the House floor concerning the Petraeus progress report, "We don't need a report that wins the Nobel Prize for creative statistics or the Pulitzer for fiction." Is this mouth piece for the Democrats daring to call this patriot and war hero a "liar"?!?! And to make it worst, he is doing this in the US tax payer owned House of Representatives!
This is reprehensible and dishonorable at the very least and unpatriotic and treasonous to the core! Keep in mind though, he speaks for this "majority" in the US House and Senate. He is also not the only the member of the liberal left spewing this filth, the democrat liberal loving website and attack machine move.org recently ran an ad in the New York Slimes that read, "And This Is What It's Going To Be: 'General Petraeus Or General Betray Us? Cooking The Books For The White House.'"
There is truly no honor among thieves!

New DNC Recruiting Tool
* Let make this disclaimer: i'm not sure if this person is UBL or not, in fact, our intelligence agencies are still trying to figure that out. In fact, i wouldn't be surprise if it is an impostor; only time will tell.
At one point this supposed UBL figure refers to the "neo-cons" like Cheney or Rumsfeld and their pushing of the war on the American people. He went on to refer to a "holocaust" that is the result of our culture, no doubt being forced upon the world by these same "neo-cons". Don't the US liberals find some sick joy in referring to our Commander in Chief as a "nazi"? Apparently UBL is listening to their talking points!
He also made reference to the new democrat majority in the US Congress...which apparently he is endorsing, as well as the vast majority of terrorists in the 2006 mid-term elections. What cracks me up about this is that this UBL character points out that they were supposedly elected by the American people to stop the war...but they haven't! Shame on you Dirty Harry and San Fran Nan, you very well may have lost his campaign donation for next year!
But i think my favorite part is early on in this 30 minute democrat underground diatribe is when he really hits the leftist talking points by blaming the Bush administration policies for global warming and then attacks big business in America while tearing down the US military and Iraqi PM Nouri al-Maliki. In fact, just today, in preparation for a better than expected report from US General David Petraeus, Sen. Chucky Schumer (D-NY) suggested today that the US military...the greatest fighting force in the word, had NOTHING to do with the recent success in the Anbar Province of Iraq. His actual quote was:
And let me be clear, the violence in Anbar has gone down despite the surge, not because of the surge. The inability of American soldiers to protect these tribes from al Qaeda said to these tribes we have to fight al Qaeda ourselves. It wasn't that the surge brought peace here. It was that the warlords took peace here, created a temporary peace here. And that is because there was no one else there protecting.
So apparently the old adage is true...the enemy of my enemy is my friend; and since both the liberal left of the democrat party and militant Islamofascists hate President Bush, they are a match made in heaven!

What an endorsement!
That's right, the 81 year old Cuban dictator....oops, i meant "duly elected president" of the Caribbean island nation has tipped his hat in favor of Hill the Schrill and Osoma Obama as the next leader of what could become a once great nation if it actually happens. Castro was quoted as saying in the New York Times...oops, my bad again, i meant the Granma (the Cuban Communist Party paper) as saying, "The word today is that an apparently unbeatable ticket could be Hillary for president and Obama as her running mate,".
Not that this is unexpected seeing how Castro as referred to Bill Clinton as "really kind", has claimed that President George W Bush stole the 2000 election (hey, they use DNC talking points down there too!) and also names Jimmy Carter as his favorite US President since he himself took control of Cuba in 1959 according to a Reuters report.
So there you go folks, as if the Al Qaida/Taliban endorsements of the democrats in the 2006 midterm elections weren't enough...this is definitely gravy!

July 4th Message
If we naively believe that our great country survived and thrived for the last 231 years, only because of the industry of its people, we are being possessed and overtaken with pride. Our forefathers truly exhibited great humility because they understood and believed that God was the reason and source for their great bounty, blessings, and opportunity. In the great patriotic song, “America the Beautiful”, the chorus clearly reminds us that “America, America, God shed His grace on thee, and crown Thy good, with brotherhood, from sea to shinning sea...”
Our great country was the result of a battle (war) between two groups: one a formalized country; and the other a group of people bound together by a resolute belief in God, as the creator of the universe, and a dream of freedom from a monarchy and his religious and other restrictions. To achieve the freedom they desired, they realized that they must be bound together, and therefore give up some of their personal freedom to become “dependent” upon one another. The desire and the dream of freedom were so great that each were willing to support one another fully to achieve the desired goal for all. This paradox of being “dependent”, in order to be “independent” and free, formed the basis upon which our great country was founded. Each of our fore-fathers believed that God would provide for them if they regularly praised Him and gave to Him “thanks” for the many blessings and opportunities which they experienced.
July 4th is the anniversary of the date of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. In the Declaration of Independence, the authors and signers speak of “Nature’s God”, the “Supreme Judge of the world”, and that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” The document concludes “with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor.”
Is it not strange today to see that God, or any significant reference to God, has been removed from our presence and sight in public buildings, schools, reflections, prayers, communications, etc.? Those offended by any reference to God invoke the “establishment clause” of our Constitution as the basis for their argument, even though such a reference to God is not designed to establish anything (or any religion), but is merely an acknowledgement of a belief or act of faith, neither of which are prohibited by the Constitution of our country.
And yet, the founders of our country believed that Divine Providence was the reason for their coming to the New World to secure the “unalienable rights” endowed by their Creator. Our denial of the presence and impact of our Creator in our lives is not only tragic, but also full of sinful pride. We would do well to humble ourselves before the Creator as our fore-fathers did freely and openly.
Respect and appreciation for human life and human existence is fundamental, since human life is the greatest gift from the Creator. The desire to rid the world of oppression, hatred, and human-induced pain and suffering is noble. To do so, however, we, as a people, must return to the fundamental tenants that our fore-fathers endorsed……Our currency today reminds us, in no uncertain terms, that: “IN GOD WE TRUST”…. If we truly do “trust God”, then we must begin to act accordingly and show the world and one another that we are serious in that belief. I am sure there were many critics and objections 231 years ago, and fortunately for us, there were more dedicated leaders and statesmen who endured the criticism and doubt, and remained committed, faithful, and hopeful to the belief and desire for freedom…and above all “trusted” in God and were not afraid to show that trust in word and deed.
Today, we expect our government to provide for the safety and security of the American people, and yet we must be willing to accept certain limitations on our absolute freedom, and also acknowledge and differentiate our “rights” from our “privileges”. Today, we should freely support the efforts of our law enforcement and intelligence personnel who are charged with the duty to protect the American people from harm each and every day. As Americans, we should fully and unequivocally support all of the men and women of our country’s Armed Forces located throughout the world. The presence and the existence of the United States is real hope to peoples who yearn for the freedom desired by our forefathers some 231 years ago.
On Wednesday, the 4th of July, the great majority of all Americans will be permitted the opportunity to perform basic functions which millions in other countries would love to enjoy. We take for granted our ability to freely, without significant fear or concern, travel, drive a car, go to work, shop in retail stores, invest, buy and sell things, attend recreational and sporting events, golf, fish, hunt, etc., with very little inconvenience or restriction. These freedoms are truly not guaranteed unless we are willing to make certain sacrifices, and accept certain responsibilities. Freedom implies not only responsibility, but also the reality that many “rights”, which we claim, are actually “privileges” for which others provided that opportunity to, and for, us. And yes, for which America has been blessed, by our Creator, as He “shed His Grace on Thee”.
As we celebrate July 4th this Wednesday, please do not forget the source and the reason for the holiday. Please remember our Armed Service men and women and pray for their safe return to their families. Pray for peace in our World and the opportunity for all people to truly enjoy freedom and govern themselves.
To this cause, and as the Declaration of Independence concludes: “with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor.”

Oh no he didn't!
I grew up in South Louisiana and come from families that are descendants of the Acadians, or Cajuns, who migrated to the Gulf of Mexico region after being expelled from Eastern French Canada in the mid 1700's. Before there was an America, my ancestors were living in America! This is my country of birth, and it is the country that God has blessed me to be a part of. Good or bad, i love America!
So, when i hear Dirty Harry Reid (D-NV) say on June 4 that the Senate is working on the illegal immigration situation and trying to get 12 million "undocumented Americans" out of the shadows, it not only angers me but also sickens me that the left would consider people who could give a rat's patooey about our laws as "American".

These people are not "Americans", they are here illegally and they need to be returned back to their nation of origin until they can figure out how to do things the right way. This isn't anti-immigration, it is being pro-US and supporting the laws that help make this land the greatest country on God's green earth! And for the liberals in Congress like Harry Reid to not see this is nothing short of treason and they should be removed from office at the very least.
For over a hundred years immigrants have entered this country legally, many in the shadows of the Statue of Liberty and the inscription of:
"Give me your tired, your poor,Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
Their goal was and is to become part of the great melting pot that makes this country great...to become an American; unlike these illegal aliens who violate our laws to get here and do everything they can to not assimilate into our country.
I'm proud to be an American, once again...and i welcome any and all who chose to enter this country legally. But as for those who choose not to enter legally...they are anything BUT American.

I'm Tired

"I'm Tired"
Two weeks ago, as I was starting my sixth month of duty in Iraq , I was forced to return to the USA for surgery for an injury I sustained prior to my deployment. With luck, I'll return to Iraq to finish my tour.
I left Baghdad and a war that has every indication that we are winning, to return to a demoralized country much like the one I returned to in 1971 after my tour in Vietnam . Maybe it's because I'll turn 60 years old in just four months, but...I'm tired.
I'm tired of spineless politicians, both Democrat and Republican who lack the courage, fortitude, and character to see these difficult tasks through.
I'm tired of the hypocrisy of politicians who want to rewrite history when the going gets tough.
I'm tired of the disingenuous clamor from those that claim they 'Support the Troops' by wanting them to 'Cut and Run' before victory is achieved.
I'm tired of a mainstream media that can only focus on car bombs and casualty reports because they are too afraid to leave the safety of their hotels to report on the courage and success our brave men and women are having on the battlefield.
I'm tired that so many Americans think you can rebuild a dictatorship into a democracy over night.
I'm tired that so many ignore the bravery of the Iraqi people to go to the voting booth and freely elect a Constitution and soon a permanent Parliament.
I'm tired of the so called 'Elite Left' that prolongs this war by giving aid and comfort to our enemy, just as they did during the Vietnam War.
I'm tired of antiwar protesters showing up at the funerals of our fallen soldiers. A family who's loved ones gave their life in a just and noble cause, only to be cruelly tormented on the funeral day by cowardly protesters is beyond shameful.
I'm tired that my generation, the Baby Boom -- Vietnam generation, who have such a weak backbone that they can't stomach seeing the difficult tasks through to victory.
I'm tired that some are more concerned about the treatment of captives than they are the slaughter and beheading of our citizens and allies.
I'm tired that when we find mass graves it is seldom reported by the press, but mistreat a prisoner and it is front page news.Mostly,
I'm tired that the people of this great nation didn't learn from history that there is no substitute for Victory.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out...
In the "resignation letter" on her blog (which i will not post here because she doesn't deserve any more free press), she said, "Good-bye America ... you are not the country that I love and I finally realized no matter how much I sacrifice, I can't make you be that country unless you want it." Perhaps if she is looking for the country she can love, she should try Venezuela where her socialist dictator buddy Hugo Chavez is firing rubber bullets and water cannons at those that he refuses to give the 1st Amendment rights that she has here in these Great United States of America.

I feel sorry for Cindy Sheehan in the loss of her son, that is a pain i hope i never have to experience myself...but if my child chooses to defend the freedoms of this great country, it is a sacrifice that i would have to make. But what i feel more sorry for is how she has allowed her hatred for President George W. Bush and our great country to drive her into these insane rants.
So, good bye Cindy...so long, farewell, and good riddance. And please, don't let the door hit you in the rear on the way out!
